So we've gone boating a couple times this summer, and I haven't posted any of the pictures. I've been a lazy blogger, but finally here some are.

I had to add this picture because it makes me laugh...I was outside the wake, and coming in for a jump but I didnt' cut it right, so I went down and my uncle got a good picture of it.

Just minutes ago we discovered these cute decorations someone or many people put up in our front yard! We don't know who did it, but we love it and think it's so cute. So thank you to whoever did this kind act! We love it! :)

Travis' concert and Adam's play

Travis had a play almost two weeks ago and I'm finally posting it, and Adam's concert as well that was last Monday. I took video of both but I don't have the patience and time right now to wait for them to upload. lol. Travis is usually pretty serious during his concerts.
Overall the concert was amazing! They sounded really good, and Travis did very well in playing his parts.

These two pictures were taken at the end of the play, and they are kind of blurry because the kids kept moving around. Oh well.

The play "Going West" was very cute, and Adam had some pretty long lines, so he was an important part of the play. My mom and I went to see it and loved it! These kids are so fun to watch! :)

In Memory of Tandy Jane Osborn

Tandy Jane Osborn who is our aunt, and our mom's sister passed away Monday morning. I won't go into detail about what the cause of her death was for there were many reasons why she passed away. The main reason that she left us is because of her liver which was not functioning sufficiently, her kidneys quit functioning and she had developed pneumonia. In memory of our loved, fun and dear aunt each of us kids want to say something in memory of her.

Alyssa: There is so much I could say, but I want to keep this short and sweet! :)I want to share some fun memories with her first. Tandy was one of my favorite aunts. She made everything so fun, whether it be playing games, boating, or beading. Playing games was so fun with Tandy around, she would make me laugh so hard I thought I was going to pee my pants! haha. I'll never forget the good old boating days. I always wanted to make sure I got a chance to go tubing with her as she was pure entertainment with her screaming. Tandy loved to do beads, and so do I. We had fun going to bead stores together, and then making cute items to wear. I also will never forget when I was younger my family went to visit their family, and Tandy, my mom, and I would do crafts! It was so much fun! She had these wood cut-outs and lots of fabric paint and we would just have a blast painting little items together. Oh I'll also never forget one summer we went to the cabin (the whole Childs' family), and Tandy had "Barbie" fingernail polish and a pink phone and she was so excited to show them to me. She was so anxious to give me a manicure and pedicure. Those were good times. I'm so grateful for the joy that Tandy brought into my life. Tandy was a very scintillating person to be around, and I loved that about her. She always brought excitement into the room or where ever we would be with her. She also had a laugh that was extremely contagious, and I loved her personality. It definitely has been a blessing to have her in my life, I'm so grateful for her and the love she always showed towards me. I love her so much. I will and already do miss her greatly, but I'm grateful to know that I will be with her again someday.

Travis: Tandy was such a joy to have around. She was always funny, and of course, often a bit obnoxious, but we love her for that. Her happy attitude and great sense of humor are magnetic, and it is easy to get attached to her. She, like all those in the Childs family, was very loving and loved to give lots of hugs. Her laugh, also like some in the Childs family, was often short, loud, and ear-piercing, but I will miss it greatly. I am grateful to know that she is in a better place and will be happy to be with her again someday in the future.

Kirsten: She was always so much fun to be around. She amused with her funny faces, laughs, and love. It was fun to do activities with her, and one of her favorites was beading. When she came to our house, she loved to smell the roses in our backyard and go, "oh my gosh! these smell wonderful!" Then she stepped on a snail and went, "oh...ehh...ohh...AHH!!!" She made the funniest faces and sounds. We will miss her deeply and we love her so much.

Adam: Tandy was very fun and she would be funny and full of fun. It was very nice when she would come and talk to us and play games. To what Kirsten was saying, she stepped on a snail and freaked out! We will miss her so much and her funny actions and movements. I love to watch her do stuff with everyone and make good food.

On Sunday June 1st it was our mom's birthday! We had all the the bishopric and their families over for dinner (not for her birthday), and she didn't want us to say anything or do anything for her big day, but Carrie Korth was a sweetheart and made chocolate cake and we sang to her. It was fun, I was glad we were able to do something for her since she wouldn't let us kids do anything and didn't want us to get her anything either. Isn't she darling! We love out mom so much!

It was an awesome day! Filled with cute decor, gifts and cards. We love our mom so much in our family! We are so lucky and blessed to have her in our lives!

Knott's Berry Farm

Ok, so this is my first time using the blog. This is Kirsten, by the way. Alyssa wanted me to do this for her, so this is my first post.After I went on the Knott's field trip at school, I wanted to go again sooo bad. So my dad got us some tickets on New Year's and we went the next day.

Travis and I on the Xcelerator (the best ride)!All of us on Supreme Scream (my dad chickened out on us)....I don't have any idea what this was about...Alyssa loves taking pictures.This was by the Perilous Plunge, and my dad thought it was funny (he chickened out on that ride too).This was how wet we got on the Perilous Plunge. Alyssa was screaming "ahh! I'm so scared!" the whole time....And the back of how wet we were...

Overall, this was a lot of fun. I hope we can get season passes, I love that place!

I was going to post this on my blog but I'm not at dixie. So last night my friend Brooke and I went over to the house of a family in our ward to hang out with some boys who are there to visit them. We played Kent then Nerts and then we decided to hang our at back at my house. So like most teenagers they wanted to hang out by the firepit and roast marshmallows. And I've turned into a picture nerd after I got my new camera for christmas. So I took some pictures of us all. The boys being funny.

I'm so sorry for such a late update! But I'm home now so I have time to do this. So first off we'll start with the hotel that my family stayed in in on the monday before I came to San Francisco to join them. Kirsten enjoying the view from their room.

High School Musical 2 Party!

We watched High School Musical 2 since it was coming out that night and all the YW and I loved the first one and couldn't wait to see the next so I invited all the YW to come over and watch it and they did and we had such a great time! So this is a way late blog but I want to get it done. So on friday I had a fun busy day! So here is half of what went on that fun day. So I went to the pool then the waterpark. First it started out with just me and my cute little brother Adam.
Then Brooke and her siblings joined us. (This is Brynn)
Then there is Brooke's brother Zac.

Then later on Brinley joined us. Then we walked over to the waterpark.
So I decided to go to the waterpark because Katelyn wanted me to come to her party and Sister Ord told me to stop by and so I did.

Night of fun

Last night my Sunday school class went to the movies and dessert then to my house. We wanted to do something before I leave. And even though it was family night it was the night before Spencer (below) a brother of the Cooks in our ward was leaving(tonight). It was alot of fun, unfortunately I didn't think to take a picture until 3 of us were remaining. Oh well. I like this picture anyways...hehe. If you know what I mean. haha

So yesterday I was bored probably because I was cleaning out some of my room before I leave for college. Then I decided to take pictures of my room and some of the things in it before I take things down or put it in boxes. So these are some random things I put on here to give me something to do.

I made this "Stand Tall.." thing at a YW activit and it's hanging in my room.
This is a caricature of me from when I went to Grad Nite and I got my hair done all crazy and that's why it looks funny in the picture. I didn't hang this up it's just been sitting on my dresser.
And last but not least this is a charcoal drawing of the Newport Beach Temple that I did my freshman year in art class. (It's kinda hard to see the details since I took a picture of it.

DCI 2007

Last night we went to the Drum Corps International World Championship. Basically it's your top marching bands out there who practice all summer and lay it all out on the field. Luckily this year the competition was in Pasadena at the Rose Bowl so we were able to go. It was so awesome! These bands were really good, so good that they give you goose bumps! Anyways, here's some pictures of the bands. And beneath each picture it says the name of each band. Except this one since it's just a sign.

Ward Campout 2007

Last night we had our annual ward campout for the second year in a row. It was really fun, unfortunately I wasn't able to stay the night but I got some pictures of last night. Travis and Kirsten love watermelon so much!
Adam never likes to smile at the camera when I take a picture of him I think he's sick of me trying to keep up with the blogging world.
Dad did a nice job cooking up our dinner.
This is me and Taylin. She is one of the many cuties I love to babysit. I will totally miss her when I leave.
It's kinda hard to see who is in this picture in the far distance but it's Travis playing on a blow up guitar for the YM skit.

This is a quick photo of the YW skit. It was really fun! I had a blast screaming when we were supposed to, I just put alot of energy into it.
This was my faborite part well actually maybe not. I got to toilet paper Kirsten who was pretending to be my dad. It was a perfect prop since I used to toilet paper people in the ward all the time so I think they put this prop in the bag just for me.

Super Activity 2007

On thursday and friday the youth in mhy ward that are 14 and above got to go on a super activity. We went boating for 2 straight days! It was so much fun, we had 2 boats and got to tube and do all the watersports and stuff. We even got to stay in a hotel rather than campout.This is a series of events, first Anastasia, Sally and I are cruising along on the tubes.
Second, I kick Anastasias tube trying to knock her off. hehe.
Then here we are about to dump Anastasia off her tube. It was so fun.
Travis likes to show his skills and not hold on to the tube.

Unfortunately my dad got a little tricky, as we were leaning we stayed on but then these huge bumps game as we were leaning and we couldn't stay on and we got knocked off. It was hilarious, we couldn't stp laughing.

When we were out there Alexa started singing that one song that goes, "L is for the way you look at me, O is for the only one I see...etc." So then I started singing with her. It was so funny because it didn't sound the greatest because we were yelling. I asked her why she started singing this song and she had no clue why. too funny.

My LOST puzzles

A few months ago I put together 3 1,000 piece LOST puzzles. When I say LOST puzzles they are from the TV show called LOST. It's one of my favorite shows. So I decided to take pictures of them before I took them apart because they have all been stacked on my dresser since I put them together. lol. The puzzles were very challenging because it didn't show a full picture on the box of what they look like but it was totally worth it. I think they look really cool. LOST puzzle #1

Evening at Mission Viejo Lake

For family night this past week we went to Mission Viejo Lake. We swam for a little while, ate dinner, fed some ducks(the kids), then built sand castles. The lake is one of Adam's favorite places to go. He loves to swim and dive for mini sea shells.
Travis got a little bored, I guess.

Stake Youth Conference 2007

This year's Youth Conference was a pioneer trek! It was very hard but very rewarding and awesome at the same time. The theme was "Faith in Every Footstep." I'm so sorry about the large amount of pictures, we just did so much and it was hard to narrow it down to just a few. But now you can get an idea of what went on. This is on the way to Riley Farm, we had to take a school bus to get there.
Mom and Dad were a "Ma & Pa."

Brothe Dunning (center-wearing the hat) was a helper with the food. I think he called it like the chuck wagon helper or something like that.
Brother Gentry was very enthusiastic about this conference.

I really loved the first breakfast we had! The pancakes were so good! And we got to pick some raspberries and eat them. I seriously couldn't stop eating them! They were the best ever!

Check out how packed these carts were. We had to tie them down really well or stuff would fall out.
Dad instructing Brother Blais how to throw an axe. This was one of our pioneer skills we had to learn. It was alot of fun. Things such as: riding horses, shooting some kind of gun, archery. throwing knifes and axes, cutting wood several different ways, cut shingles.
This is called "hole in the wall" It's a steep hill down and then a steep hill up right away. Several guys from each family had to help with this. Since they didn't allow any girls to do it after a girl got run over by a handcart.

We all find out that the boys are called to be in the Mormon Batallion.

The women's pull. The girls had to pull the handcarts while the boys were off in the Mormon Batallion. Here we had to have all 4 families in one company help pull up one hadncart at a time for their company. And when we got to the top of the steep hill the boys were at the top cheering us on.

18th Birthday!

My 18th birthday party was so awesome! We had dinner, a scavenger hunt, treasure hunt, watched a movie then had cupcakes and home made ice cream (yummy).I was lucky to have an old leader come to my party and help out with the games and another leader who actually just got released :( suprised me and came too!
Unfortunately we didn't take a bunch of pictures. Just a few.

Oh and I also got some awesome gifts (even though I told everyone I didn't want anything). I got like 7 gift cards, money, awesome stuff for college, a cute necklace by Juicy, and Oakley sunglasses from one of my friends!

Every so often my mom makes raspberry pie (well when they are in season) and it is so good! Everytime family comes to visit she makes them and loves to watch their reaction. It is seriously the best pie ever. We always fight for a second slice. haha. Here's all the family enjoying the delicious pie!

Dan & Amy's Reception in Bakersfield

After we went to the farmers market in LA we traveled up to Bakersfield for the reception.This is my cutest cousin ever! She was so popular when she came, everyone loves her. I even got to babysit her while her parents went to see Wicked. She is so much fun.

Farmers Market in LA

On our way to Bakersfield for Dan & Amy's wedding we stopped at the Farmers Market. We shopped and ate at Johnny Rocket's. This is a picture of some of us grandkids with our grandpa under an old gas station pump with his name at the top. (His name is Earl)

We always love to pull pranks on grandpa and he likes to get us back. Story is that when I got an oreo shake he came over and drank about 1/3 of it. Then when my cousin next to me left for the bathroom he drank some of her diet coke. Then when she got back she got mad then she and I drank some of his strawberry shake and some of it ended up on him and us. Then he got my cousin back by putting ice down her back (that's what he's doing in the picture). She screamed so loudly that everyone in the restaurant looked at us. It was the funniest thing ever.

On June 13th my cousin got married in the LA Temple (luckily since he lives in Utah but the girl he married grew up in Bakersfield so she wanted to go to the temple near her). This is just a random picture that I thought was funny because when my grandpa saw it he said, "ding dong" because I'm pointing as if I'm ringing a door bell. haha.

Hey everyone! I'm so sorry about being such a slacker on keeping this blog updated! I've just been so busy with family in town and with tons of babysitting. Anyways, we've been boating some more so here's more pictures over a course of 3 trips to the lake.

Premier of Harry Potter

Last night some friends and I went to see the premier of Harry Potter at 12 am! We waited in line for 1 1/2 hrs. but it was worth it. We also got Golden Spoon while the boys waited in line. yeah! The movie was a long 2 hrs and 18 min. but I did stay awake through the whole thing even though it was so late at night. And since I hadn't read the book I was so nervous at the end of the movie I didn't now what was going to happen I was freaking out in my seat. It was actually kind of funny but the movie was awesome I highly recommend people to go see it.

So we finally went out on our boat for the first time this summer! We've just been so busy that we haven't been able to go out. It was a really hot day, it started at 76 degrees and up to 110 degrees when we got off the lake, despite the heat we had fun. Heres some cool pictures of the day. My dad is a really good waterskiier. I grew up with a boat as a kid and has continued to ski ever since. He loves it so much and is always "feelin' his oats" when he's out on the water. He sure shows us up!

My mom loves to swim with us kids. Plus the water was really refreshing since it was so hot. It really cooled us down.
Travis is the major wakeboarder in our family as you can see. He likes to catch some air and show off his moves.

Check this out! Kirsten and Travis can get up and wakeboard at the same time! I got some cool footage of it and will try to put some of it online tom.
I told Kirsten to wave to te camera, she's really good too!

And then there's me who can't do a single trick! I can hardly get outside the wake. Although I can board "goofy" or "regular" Notice: In this picture I'm riding "regular" I have my left foot in the front.

At the end of the day my dad let me drive the boat! It was seriously so fun! I got to go super fast...well maybe...I was a little nervous since I can keep only one hand on the wheel and the other on the gas stick thing...whatever it's called.

Girl's Camp

Girls Camp 2007...on the last night it looks a little something like this... This is the group picture with our Bishop because on the last night the Bishops come for dinner, testimony meeting and Bishop time with their ward.
One of the games we played was the paper game...it's hard to explain but here is a picture (above)

This is my favorite game that we play every year. It goes something like this...there are two tables and two teams per table. There is a pan with marshmallows and VASELINE! on one side of the table and two buckets on the other side. The object is to get the most marshmallows in the bucket as possible. It doesn't sound that easy...You start by putting vaseline on your nose then you have to pick up a marshmallow with your nose that has vaseline on it then take it to the bucket.

As you can see it isn't very easy. The first time I went the marsmallow fell off my nose 6 inches away from where I picked it up. So you really have to coat your nose with alot of vasiline. Sometimes it doesn't help much. Then what sucks is that the vaseline can get up your nose and in your hair(if it's down). So some of us like me had vaseline up our noses. We wiped off the vaseline with wipes but it felt like it was still there! No big it was totally worth it we had so much fun!

Another game we played is we take a "Big Red" gum wrapper lick it and put it on our forehead. We had a contest to see who could keep it on the longest. The only problem was that they didn't stay on that long. Oh and it doesn't look that easy because after a while it starts to burn really badly...so badly that some of the girls were screaming it was pretty fuuny. Notice: my friend on the left thought it was a dumb contest and decided not to do it.

Check out the gang with gum wrappers on their forehead. They all look so funny!

One more game we played was the "scissors game" and all it invloves is a pair of scissors. I don't want to give out how the game works but its fun to watch everyone figure it out. Notice: Sister Dunnings face as she passes the scissors after her turn and she doesn't understand how it works...so funny.

Dinner on Bishops night. We had roast beef which was actually pretty good, mashed potatoes, green beans, salad bar and brownies.

These are the four awesome people who took time away from their families and spent four days with some crazy but good girls. Thanks you're awesome!

Grad Nite!

On graduation night the seniors go to an all night party from 10 pm till 6 am! We don't know what it is until we get there...it's always a big secret. This year it was at Dave & Busters at the irvine spectrum. We got to play all the games almost all of them were unlimited! They had other games going on and stuff but one of my most favorite things was, they had was a station where these girls from a hair salon do crazy hair. I was so excited and couldn't wait and I got it done and I told the lady I loved it...no joke I really did. haha. check it out... This is when I had just gotten home at 6:30 in the morning!
I was so tired that I took my pillow and went to my bonus room and fell asleep on the couch. My aunt caught me and took a picture while I was sleeping. Whats funny though is that I went all day long with that hair. I went to PEI WEI for lunch with my family and my hair was like that and we went to other stores and people just stared. I didn't care though because I liked it so much and because I was so tired!

Graduation!

Last thursday I finally graduated from high school! I thought those 4 years were never gonna end! haha. I have lots of pics...

The End! I would put captions but I'm super tired and I don't really feel like it. I'm sure you can figure out where I am in the pictures with alot of people although some not.

YW/YM Combined pool party

On the 20th the ym and yw had a combined pool party and it was tons of fun. We swam, celebrated Kirtsens birthday, celebrated the seniors graduating etc. So as you can tell the leaders gave those of us that are graduating some gifts all having to do with college. We got all kinds of stuff we'll need etc. It was really nice of them. Notice:the graduation caps. haha.

As usual the laurels and priests have a competition this one being who could keep there hand in a bucket of ice the longest...it hurt really bad after a while so bad that we were all screaming and yelling. haha. But no one would take their hand out because we all wanted to win of course so it was worth the sacrifice.
Vanessa and I proudly beat the boys and being the last ones to take our hands out and we did at the same time. We thought we were pretty cool for beating the boys. haha.

Happy 10th birthday Adam!

On the 13th Adam turned 10. We had a little party for him at our house and another party for him an his friends at Lamppost pizza... Adam got a PSP(playstation portable). My dad hadn't gotten it yet so he just explained that and put a picture of it on a paper.
I made Adam pose for the camera before he blew out ALL of his candles. By the way the ice cream pie thing was so amazing!..my mom made it. :)

Last Thursday night Adam had his first orchestra concert! My parents had alot of fun watching him. The whole group played songs together and they also had kids volunteer to play in small groups and Adam did! He's such a cutie!(He hates it when I say that). haha.

On June 2nd I went to my school prom. I went with a guy in my ward and it was really fun (except all the dirty dancing that was going on.) Sorry that I forgot to flip the last picture...I'm still learning how to do the whole blog thing.

Thanks to my mom for adding sleeves, doing "tan in a can"(thats what she likes to call spray tan), my hair and make up. You're awesome!

Hawaii

Almost 2 weeks ago we went to the beautiful island of Kauai! It was so awesome! Everyone was so nice and friendly. We just had a blast. Here are some pics to show off our fun we had... We stopped at one of those fruit stands on the side of the road and Adam got his very own "baby pineapple"
A raft that we took along the Na Pali coastline took us in a few caves like this one and we were able to take a quick shot.

Look how close the dolphins got to our raft! They were so close I could've reached out and touched one but it's against the law...I think. Plus I didn't want to fall off the raft from dipping down to low.

As we wait to go on the raft I cover my head with a towel to avoid a bug that would not stop following me! I hate bugs!
